Hanky Panky afoot at the Secret Garden Party

We had a blast at this years Secret Garden Party.  We provided the DJ’s all weekend, four days of house, techno, minimal, and lots more during the daytime.

Hanky Panky rig at the Secret Garden 2010

We had lots of guest DJ’s play with us over the weekend including some guys from Pineapple Tribe. Pineapple Tribe are an old school sound system from Guildford who inspired us back in ’97 with their black and yellow hazard decor and Bedford army truck at the Notting Hill carnival.  They will be plying their wares at this years Notting Hill carnival.

Check out http://www.facebook.com/pages/Festival-Tails/ for more pics on what went on. We recorded lots of mixes on the Sunday night and will be releasing some mixes online during the winter months.

The area went down well with the SGP organisers and we plan on being back there next year with a bigger set up.  4 years after Herne’s DJ debut under the oak tree at the SGP we finally got some more Hanky Panky techno-led sounds in our locale’s biggest music event.  The festival had 25,000 this year , a long way from the 4000 in 2006.  Its grown well managing to keep a lovely crowd and nice feel and intimacy.

Next up Trystonbury 2010.

Are You a Rock’NRolla? : The Rabbit Hole Glastonbury 09 Mix

To wet your appetite for the summer we will  be posting some more mixes online over the next few months.  Visit our Facebook Group to listen to the mix.

To kick start the countdown first up is the first hour of a 3hour mix by Herne. Based upon the set he played at last years Glastonbury Festival Rabbit Hole stage.  The mix is a blend of house, trance, rock, 80′s synths, techno and features tracks by many of the Glasto’ 09 artists.  The mix takes inspiration from the from the 1980′s , a decade that is very much back in music, fashion, TV and film. 80′s kids are the new generation and driving  young culture forward.

Countdown to the Summer

Greetings Party Folk

It may seem a way off yet but thoughts are turning to our summer festivities.  We are planning to be involved with the Glade and Glastonbury festivals again this year. At present no DJ appearances are confirmed though there is a strong chance we will be playing in the Rabbit Hole tents again at both festivals.

We are going to be uploading more pics of old parties to the Facebook group, HankyPanky Panksters, and work is underway to digitise some of the great 90′s free party footage. If you have any old pics, stories to tell take a look at the Facebook group and meet the community of Panksters hanging out there.
